| There are nearly
100 cartridge styles. Which ones can we recycle with the JetPack |
There are
over 500 printing devices which use inkjet
cartridges, including printers, plotters, fax
machines, multi-function machines and other
special equipment. However, there are far fewer
cartridge styles since many printer models use
the same cartridge styles. We recycle more
cartridge styles than any body else. Whether you have a Hewlett
Packard, Lexmark, Sharp, Okidata, or Xerox inkjet cartridge
machine the chances are very good that we are already
remanufacturing it. We offer
recycling for all popular cartridges and many
older styles which are still in use.

Please
note:
that some remanufacturers drill holes in
their cartridges when remanufacturing. Cartridges that have been
drilled cannot be recycled with the JetPak Program. Please do
not send cartridges that have been drilled as they will be
returned.

Does New System Services sell
recycled cartridges "off the shelf?" |
|
|
| How many cartridges will I
receive when I send you empties to be recycled? |
| Not all cartridges can be
recycled - including some virgin cartridges. Based on recycling
more than 1 Million cartridges each year, we know that
"unserviceable" rates vary widely by cartridge style and
condition with single color black virgin cartridges having the
highest success rates. On the average, 90-95% of all virgin
single color cartridges can be serviced. As the cartridges age,
this percentage gets lower. Cartridges with the highest
"unserviceable" rates include most tri-chamber color cartridges
due to their design and the HP51629A cartridges. Certain "sponge
style" cartridges such as the Canon BC-02 also have higher
"unserviceable rates" than liquid ink cartridges such as the
HP51626A. |
|
| What
steps does this Service take to assure me the highest number of
recycled cartridges in my order? |
| In addition
to industry leading cleaning techniques including
the complete removal of all old ink in an empty
sent to us, we also put cartridges through our
process up to three complete times before we
consider it "unserviceable." Because we
dont give up easily, you receive the
highest possible number of recycled cartridges
returned to you. |
|
|
How long will it
take to recycle my ink jet cartridges? |
| Our target
turnaround time for Jetpak Mailers is 24-72 hours
from date of receipt with many common cartridges
being returned the same day as received. Added to
that would be the time it takes to get the
cartridge to us, by mail and back again. We use
the Postal Service for all JetPacks. |
|
|
Does the use of
recycled inkjet cartridges void the warranty on my
printer? |
| In a
Warranty Statement dated December 1993, Hewlett-Packard
clarified its position on warranties. "For
HP products, the use of a non-HP cartridge or a
refilled print cartridge does not affect either
the warranty to the customer or any HP support
contract with the customer." |
|
|
What about "leaking"
during shipment or before use? |
| All recycled
cartridges are all carefully sealed in a vapor
barrier bag and checked for leaks before shipping
to avoid leaks during shipping or prior to use. |
|
|
How long
does it take when a new cartridges hits the market before
it can be recycled? |
| There are
dozens of new ink jet printing devices being
manufactured and sold today. And many of these
new models have cartridge styles which are also
new to the market. New cartridge styles usually
mean the development of new inks. It takes us
from 3-6 months after a new cartridge hits the
market to develop and test inks for new styles.
When many new cartridges are introduced, we
prioritize our research and development and
concentrate on the most popular new cartridge
styles -- usually from the largest printer
manufacturers -- first. Check our Web site
periodically to keep abreast of new cartridge
releases. |
|
|
How many pages
will my recycled cartridge print? |
| The amount
of ink in a cartridge along with other printing
factors determines how many pages a cartridge
will print. Each OEM cartridge comes with a
specific amount of ink when new -- thats
the same amount of ink we use when we recycle.
Our cartridges are carefully weighed to be sure
they meet these weight specifications. |
|
|
Are my recyled
cartridges covered by warranty? |
| Cartridges
have a 180 day warranty from time of receipt. |
| Will the cartridge sent be the
one that I get back? |
| Yes. Each mailer is
numbered. This number is used to track your
cartridge thru each stage of being remanufactured.
If there is a problem with the cartridge this
number is used to route a replacment mailer. |
